Ingredients:
- 1 large head of broccoli (approx. 500g / 1.1 lbs), cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 ml)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder (2.5 ml)
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (2.5 ml)
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, 1.25 ml)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F). If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat function, run it for 3-5 minutes at the specified temperature.
- Wash and thoroughly dry the broccoli florets. Excess moisture prevents crisping.
- In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Ensure the broccoli is evenly coated.
- Arrange the seasoned broccoli florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the broccoli is tender-crisp and slightly charred around the edges.
- Transfer the air-fried broccoli to a serving dish. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese (if using) and serve immediately.
