Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
  • 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Trim the ends off the green beans and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Drizzle the green beans with olive oil. Add the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper (and red pepper flakes, if using). Toss well to coat evenly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer (if your model requires it) to 400°F (200°C). Spread the green beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding. You may need to cook in batches.
  4. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the green beans are tender-crisp and lightly browned.
  5. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately for maximum crispiness.
