Ingredients:
- 1 medium apple, cored and chopped (approx. 1 cup / 150g)
- ½ cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy - almond, soy, or oat)
- ¼ cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess and protein)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Pinch of ground cloves (optional)
- 4-5 ice cubes
Instructions:
- Chop the apple into smaller pieces for easier blending.
- Place the chopped apple, milk, yogurt (if using), maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves (if using), and ice cubes into the blender.
- Secure the lid and blend on high speed until completely smooth, about 30-60 seconds. Check for any chunks and blend further if needed.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy right away! Optionally garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a thin apple slice.
