Ingredients:

  • 1 medium apple, cored and chopped (approx. 1 cup / 150g)
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy - almond, soy, or oat)
  • ¼ cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess and protein)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground cloves (optional)
  • 4-5 ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Chop the apple into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  2. Place the chopped apple, milk, yogurt (if using), maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves (if using), and ice cubes into the blender.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until completely smooth, about 30-60 seconds. Check for any chunks and blend further if needed.
  4. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy right away! Optionally garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a thin apple slice.
