Ingredients:

  • 12 oz cocktail sausages
  • 8 oz thin-cut bacon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Use kitchen shears to cut each bacon strip into thirds.
  2. Wrap one piece of bacon tightly around a cocktail sausage and secure it with a toothpick through the center.
  3. Place half of the bacon-wrapped sausages in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single, tight layer.
  4. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar (1/2 cup) evenly over the first layer and drizzle with half of the melted butter.
  5. Add the remaining sausages on top, followed by the remaining brown sugar and melted butter.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours until the glaze is deep mahogany and glossy.
  7. Optional: Transfer sausages to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes until the sugar bubbles for a shattering crust.
