Ingredients:
- 12 oz cocktail sausages
- 8 oz thin-cut bacon
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Use kitchen shears to cut each bacon strip into thirds.
- Wrap one piece of bacon tightly around a cocktail sausage and secure it with a toothpick through the center.
- Place half of the bacon-wrapped sausages in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single, tight layer.
- Sprinkle half of the brown sugar (1/2 cup) evenly over the first layer and drizzle with half of the melted butter.
- Add the remaining sausages on top, followed by the remaining brown sugar and melted butter.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours until the glaze is deep mahogany and glossy.
- Optional: Transfer sausages to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes until the sugar bubbles for a shattering crust.
