Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground turkey
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- 1/4 cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- 2 large russet potatoes (about 1 lb or 450 g)
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Mix until well combined and slightly sticky.
- Chill mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes for easier handling.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (optional).
- Using a cookie scoop, portion out the mixture and shape into nugget form.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Wash and cut the russet potatoes into fry shapes.
- Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Add the fries to the baking sheet alongside the nuggets.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway, until nuggets are golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and fries are crispy.
- Garnish nuggets and fries with fresh parsley, if desired.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
