Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground turkey
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
  • 1/4 cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 2 large russet potatoes (about 1 lb or 450 g)
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Mix until well combined and slightly sticky.
  3. Chill mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes for easier handling.
  4. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (optional).
  6. Using a cookie scoop, portion out the mixture and shape into nugget form.
  7. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Wash and cut the russet potatoes into fry shapes.
  9. Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  10. Add the fries to the baking sheet alongside the nuggets.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway, until nuggets are golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and fries are crispy.
  12. Garnish nuggets and fries with fresh parsley, if desired.
  13. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
