Ingredients:
- ½ cup (45g) rolled oats (old-fashioned oats preferred)
- ½ cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy – almond, soy, or oat milk work well)
- ¼ cup (60g) Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla – for extra protein!)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey or agave nectar)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup (75g) mixed berries (fresh or frozen, such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
Instructions:
- In a mason jar or container, combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Stir the mixture thoroughly until everything is well combined. Ensure there are no dry clumps of oats at the bottom.
- Gently fold in half of the mixed berries.
- Cover the container with a lid and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight. This allows the oats to soften and the flavors to meld.
- In the morning, stir the oats and top with the remaining fresh berries. Enjoy chilled!
