Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (45g) rolled oats (old-fashioned oats preferred)
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy – almond, soy, or oat milk work well)
  • ¼ cup (60g) Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla – for extra protein!)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey or agave nectar)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (75g) mixed berries (fresh or frozen, such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)

Instructions:

  1. In a mason jar or container, combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir the mixture thoroughly until everything is well combined. Ensure there are no dry clumps of oats at the bottom.
  3. Gently fold in half of the mixed berries.
  4. Cover the container with a lid and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or overnight. This allows the oats to soften and the flavors to meld.
  5. In the morning, stir the oats and top with the remaining fresh berries. Enjoy chilled!
