Ingredients:

  • 1 can (450g) refried beans
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp (8g) taco seasoning
  • 2 cups (450g) sour cream
  • 2 cups (450g) prepared guacamole
  • 1 tsp (2g) dried oregano
  • 1.5 cups (170g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup (240ml) thick salsa, thoroughly drained
  • 1 can (115g) sliced black olives, drained
  • 1/2 cup (50g) green onions, finely sliced
  • 1/4 cup (10g) fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Mix the dried oregano into the sour cream until well combined.
  2. Spread the guacamole in an even layer over the seasoned beans to seal them.
  3. Layer the prepared sour cream over the guacamole.
  4. Drain the salsa through a fine-mesh strainer to remove excess liquid, then spread over the sour cream layer.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, followed by the drained black olives and sliced green onions.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately with sturdy tortilla chips.
