Ingredients:
- 1 medium green cabbage (about 2 lbs / 900g), cored and thinly sliced
- 4 tbsp (60ml) unsalted butter
- 1 medium yellow onion (about 5 oz / 140g), thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup (60ml) chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional: 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
- Slice the cabbage, onion, and mince the garlic.
- Melt the butter in the skillet. Add the onion and cook until softened. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Pour in the broth and apple cider vinegar. Cover the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley (if using) and serve hot.
