Ingredients:
- 1 (14 ounce/397g) can sweetened condensed milk
- 3 cups (300g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (113g/4 oz) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.5ml) peppermint extract (optional)
- 1/2 cup (60g) crushed peppermint candies
Instructions:
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving overhang.
- Combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract and peppermint extract (if using) until well combined.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Remove from pan, cut into squares, and serve.
