Ingredients:

  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk, chilled
  • 1.5 cups ice-cold water
  • 5.1 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 11 oz vanilla wafers
  • 600g ripened bananas, sliced (approx 4-5 large)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the chilled sweetened condensed milk and ice-cold water until fully combined.
  2. Sprinkle the instant pudding mix over the liquid and whisk vigorously for 2 minutes until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for 5 minutes to set.
  3. In a separate chilled bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the chilled pudding mixture into the whipped cream using a spatula until no streaks remain.
  5. In a 9x13-inch dish or trifle bowl, create layers starting with vanilla wafers, followed by sliced bananas, and ending with the pudding mixture.
  6. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the wafers to soften to a cake-like consistency.
