Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch thick rounds (approximately 250g / 9 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, rind removed and thinly sliced (approximately 225g)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought) (approximately 250g)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted (approximately 30g)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish (optional)
  • Honey, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove the crostini from the oven. Top each slice with brie.
  4. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 2-3 minutes, or until the brie is softened and slightly melted.
  5. Remove from oven, then evenly top each crostini with cranberry sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted pecans (if using), garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs (if using), and drizzle with honey (if using). Serve immediately.
