Ingredients:
- 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch thick rounds (approximately 250g / 9 oz)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces brie cheese, rind removed and thinly sliced (approximately 225g)
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought) (approximately 250g)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted (approximately 30g)
- Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish (optional)
- Honey, for drizzling (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the crostini from the oven. Top each slice with brie.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 2-3 minutes, or until the brie is softened and slightly melted.
- Remove from oven, then evenly top each crostini with cranberry sauce.
- Sprinkle with toasted pecans (if using), garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs (if using), and drizzle with honey (if using). Serve immediately.
