Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado (approximately 200g, halved and pitted)
  • 1 medium banana (about 120g, peeled)
  • 1 cup (240ml) almond milk (or any preferred milk)
  • 1 cup (30g) fresh spinach leaves, packed
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) chia seeds (optional)
  • Ice cubes (as needed)

Instructions:

  1. Halve and pit the avocado, scoop into blender.
  2. Peel the banana and break into chunks.
  3. Rinse spinach leaves thoroughly.
  4. Add almond milk to the blender first for easier blending.
  5. Combine avocado, banana, spinach, honey (or maple syrup), and chia seeds.
  6. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds.
  7. If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk gradually.
  8. Add ice cubes for a chillier texture and blend again.
  9. Taste the smoothie; adjust sweetness as desired with more honey or maple syrup.
  10. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately.
