  • 4 cups water or milk (1 liter, can use almond or oat milk for a non-dairy option)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (3 g)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (15 ml), optional for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (5 g), optional for flavor enhancement
  • Fresh fruit (bananas, berries, or apples)
  • Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • Yogurt (dairy or plant-based)
  • Additional sweeteners (brown sugar, agave, or more honey)

Instructions:

  1. Measure out steel cut oats, water/milk, and salt.
  2. Add oats, water/milk, and salt to the pressure cooker.
  3. Secure the lid on the pressure cooker; set to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  4. Allow natural pressure release for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Open the lid; stir the oats to achieve a creamy texture. Adjust with extra water/milk if necessary.
  6. Spoon into bowls; add desired toppings.
