Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) olive oil
  • 1 tsp (5g) garlic powder
  • ½ tsp (2.5g) salt
  • ¼ tsp (1.25g) black pepper
  • Optional: Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Wash the asparagus thoroughly under running water and trim the woody ends off (about 1-2 inches).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the trimmed asparagus and toss until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  5. Asparagus is done when it is tender and lightly browned, slightly crispy to the bite.
  6. Transfer the asparagus to a serving plate and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
