Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp (16-20 count), peeled and deveined (about 450g)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne if using.
  2. Place flour in a shallow dish. Beat the egg in a separate bowl. Mix panko, Parmesan, and herbs in another dish.
  3. Dredge each shrimp in flour, shake off excess. Dip in beaten egg fully. Coat evenly with panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Lightly spray the coated shrimp with cooking spray. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until shrimp are golden and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Serve immediately with dipping sauce or lemon slices.
