Ingredients:

  • 14 oz firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Chopped green onions (optional)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Drain and press the tofu to remove excess moisture for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, and pepper.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Let sit for 10 minutes for flavor absorption.
  5. Sprinkle cornstarch over the marinated tofu and toss until evenly coated.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Place the tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
