Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds (680g) Brussel sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste (approximately 1 teaspoon)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste (approximately ½ teaspoon)
  • ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar for drizzling

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends and halve the Brussel sprouts.
  3. In a mixing bowl, toss the halved sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well-coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned Brussel sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper for easier cleanup, if desired).
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar if desired, and serve warm.
