Ingredients:
- 2 large sweet potatoes (approx. 1.5 pounds or 680 grams)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 mL)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5 g)
- ½ teaspoon sea salt (3 g)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1 g)
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or cilantro) for garnish
- Your favourite dipping sauce (e.g., yogurt-based sauce or spicy ketchup)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and peel the sweet potatoes if preferred. Cut into thin, even strips (about 1/4 inch thickness).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweet potato strips, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Line the baking sheet with parchment paper (optional for easy cleanup). Spread the sweet potato fries in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately with your preferred dipping sauce.
