Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) onion powder
- 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups (200 g) panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying (about 1-2 cups)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place flour in one bowl, beat eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.
- Dredge each piece in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the breaded nuggets on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the nuggets to the hot oil in batches, cooking until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes per side).
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer nuggets to a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
