Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp (15 g) honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare Brussels sprouts: Rinse, trim ends, and slice in half.
- Toss the sprouts in a mixing bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread evenly on a baking sheet, cut side down for maximum crispiness.
- Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway.
- Make balsamic glaze: In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey/maple syrup. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and reduce by half until thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
- Drizzle, serve, and enjoy!
