Ingredients:
- 2 lbs beef sirloin tips (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup onion (finely chopped, about 1 medium onion)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- .25 cup all-purpose flour (for thickening)
- .5 cup heavy cream or sour cream (optional gravy enhancement)
Instructions:
- Trim any excess fat from the beef sirloin tips and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Layer seared beef tips in the bottom of your crock pot. Add chopped onions, minced garlic, dried thyme, rosemary, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and beef broth.
- In a small bowl, mix together flour with a couple of tablespoons of water to create a slurry; this will help thicken your gravy later.
- Stir in the flour slurry with other ingredients in your crock pot until well combined.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours until meat is tender.
- (Optional) About 30 minutes before serving time, stir heavy cream or sour cream into the mixture for added richness.
- Once cooked through and tender, give it a good stir before serving.
- Adjust seasoning with extra salt and pepper as needed according to taste preference.
- Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice!
