Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds cube steak
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Pat the cube steak dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper; sprinkle flour on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the cube steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned; transfer to the crock pot.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Layer the sautéed onions and garlic over the steak. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and paprika.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the steak is tender.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
