Ingredients:
- 2 pounds cube steak
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Pat the cube steak dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper; sprinkle flour on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the cube steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned; transfer to the crock pot.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Layer the sautéed onions and garlic over the steak. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and paprika.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the steak is tender.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
