Ingredients:

  • 2-3 pounds baby back ribs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  2. Season ribs with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Place the seasoned ribs in the crock pot.
  4. Pour barbecue sauce evenly over the ribs.
  5. In a large bowl, combine chopped cabbage, sliced onion, olive oil, caraway seeds, and apple cider vinegar.
  6. Season with salt and pepper; toss to combine.
  7. Layer the cabbage mixture over the ribs in the crock pot.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, until ribs are tender.
  9. Remove ribs and cabbage from the crock pot; let rest for a few minutes before serving.
