Instructions:
- Crush the Oreos: Using a food processor or resealable bag and rolling pin, crush the Oreos into fine crumbs.
- Combine & Mix: In a large bowl, beat together the crushed Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese until well combined.
- Form into Balls: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Chill: Refrigerate the Oreo balls for at least 30 minutes (or up to 1 hour) to firm up.
- Melt the Chocolate: Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Dip & Decorate: Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork or dipping tools to remove and let excess chocolate drip off. Immediately decorate with your desired toppings before the chocolate sets.
- Set & Enjoy: Place the dipped truffles back on the prepared baking sheet and let the chocolate set completely. Refrigerate for faster setting, if needed. Enjoy the deliciousness.
- Variations: Divide the Oreo/cream cheese mixture into smaller bowls before rolling into balls. Incorporate variation ingredients into each bowl.
