Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- Whipped cream (for topping)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, mix together the milk and water over medium heat.
- Whisk in the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt until fully dissolved.
- Continue to heat the mixture, stirring periodically until it’s steaming but not boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chocolate chips until melted and well combined.
- Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream if desired.
