  • 4 cups (960ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond or oat milk)
  • 1/2 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1g) salt
  • 1 cup (150g) mixed berries (optional)
  • 1/2 banana, sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (40g) nuts or seeds (optional)
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine steel-cut oats, milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Whisk until all ingredients are smoothly blended.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly into 4 airtight jars or containers.
  4. Seal the jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. Before serving, stir the oats in the jar and add your choice of toppings.
  6. Enjoy cold or warm in the microwave for 30 seconds if desired.
