Ingredients:

  • 1 package (14 oz) all-beef franks, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 cans (16 oz each) canned baked beans
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced hot dogs and sauté for 3–5 minutes until the edges are golden brown and slightly crisp.
  2. Reduce heat to medium. Move the franks to the side of the pan and add the diced onions. Cook for 3 minutes until translucent, then stir in the minced garlic and smoked paprika, cooking for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in the canned beans, ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar. Stir well to combine. Bring to a light bubble, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 8–10 minutes until the sauce has thickened and glazed the beans.
