Ingredients:
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the chicken, ensuring every inch is coated.
- Cover and cook on High for 3-4 hours or Low for 6-7 hours, or until the internal temperature hits 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken to a platter and use two forks to pull the meat apart into bite-sized shreds.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and toss it in the remaining juices for 5-10 minutes on Low to allow the meat to soak up the glossy sauce.
