Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup boiling water
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup ground pork
- ½ cup finely chopped green onions
- 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a bowl, whisk flour and salt. Gradually add boiling water while stirring until a shaggy dough forms. Knead until smooth, about 10 minutes; let rest covered for 30 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, cabbage, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out circles. Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape; pinch the edges to seal. Optionally, pleat edges for decorative effect.
- Line the steamer basket with parchment paper. Place dumplings in the steamer, ensuring they are not touching. Steam over boiling water for 10-15 minutes until cooked through and translucent.
