Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (about 1 lime)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 8 chicken drumsticks (approximately 2 pounds or 900 g)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, garlic powder, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, and sesame oil until combined.
- Season the chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper. Place the drumsticks in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. Arrange the marinated drumsticks on the baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the skin is crispy.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve immediately.
