Ingredients:
- 2 cups garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of black pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Peel garlic cloves and measure out into a bowl.
- Combine garlic, olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper in the oven-safe dish. Ensure the garlic is fully submerged.
- Cover the dish tightly with a lid or aluminum foil.
- Place in the oven and cook for 60 minutes until the garlic is tender and lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- Transfer the garlic and oil to an airtight container for storage.
- Refrigerate and use within 2-3 weeks.
