Ingredients:
- 1 pound broccolini, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
Instructions:
- Rinse broccolini under cold water and trim tough ends.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).
- Add broccolini, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Toss to combine and ensure even coating.
- Sauté for 3-4 minutes until broccolini is bright green and tender but still crisp. Cook until stems are fork-tender.
- Remove from heat; add lemon zest and juice. Toss to combine.
- Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately.
