Ingredients:
- 1 medium green cabbage (about 2 lbs / 900 g), thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or thyme
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for serving)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
- Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, cut it in half, and thinly slice it.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion to the pan and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced cabbage, salt, pepper, and oregano (or thyme) to the pan. Stir well.
- Sauté the cabbage for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until wilted and tender but still slightly crunchy.
- Check seasoning and adjust salt or pepper as needed.
- Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges, and serve warm.
