- 2 tbsp (8g) fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp (3g) fresh chives, finely snipped
- 1 tsp (1g) fresh thyme leaves, stripped from the stem
- 1/2 tsp (3g) kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp (0.5g) freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 pinch (0.1g) lemon zest
Instructions:
- Place the softened butter in a medium mixing bowl and cream it slightly with a rubber spatula until smooth and pliable.
- Fold in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, chives, and thyme. Stir gently until the butter is evenly speckled with herbs.
- Add the kosher salt, black pepper, and lemon zest, mixing until completely integrated.
- Spoon the mixture onto parchment paper and roll it into a tight cylindrical log approximately 2 inches in diameter.
- Twist the ends of the parchment paper to seal the log and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up and allow flavors to marry.
