Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 ounce/225g) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (21 ounce/595g) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 (15.25 ounce/432g) box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick/113g) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Beat cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Mix in egg and vanilla until well combined.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the baking pan.
  3. Gently pour or spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the strawberry filling.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cheesecake layer.
  5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and the filling is set. Let cool completely before serving.
