Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) or your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or foil Note: This makes cleanup a breeze.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Squeeze them gently to make sure no surface moisture remains.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
- Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over every chicken thigh. Make sure to get into the folds of the meat so every bite is seasoned.
- Arrange the thighs in a single layer on the tray. For the oven, bake for 20-22 minutes until the edges are golden and sizzling.
- If using an air fryer, cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through until the skinless surface is charred and taut.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the thickest part of the thigh reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from heat and let the meat rest for 5 minutes until the juices stop running.
