Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) or your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or foil Note: This makes cleanup a breeze.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Squeeze them gently to make sure no surface moisture remains.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over every chicken thigh. Make sure to get into the folds of the meat so every bite is seasoned.
  5. Arrange the thighs in a single layer on the tray. For the oven, bake for 20-22 minutes until the edges are golden and sizzling.
  6. If using an air fryer, cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through until the skinless surface is charred and taut.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the thickest part of the thigh reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove from heat and let the meat rest for 5 minutes until the juices stop running.
