Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp All-purpose flour (30g)
- 3 tbsp Granulated sugar (35g)
- 2 tbsp Dutch-processed cocoa powder (10g)
- 1/4 tsp Baking powder
- 1/8 tsp Fine sea salt
- 1 Large egg
- 3 tbsp Whole milk (45ml)
- 2 tbsp Neutral oil (30ml)
- 1/2 tsp Pure vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp Semi-sweet chocolate chips (15g)
- 1 tsp Water
Instructions:
- In a 12 oz microwave-safe mug, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sea salt. Whisk vigorously with a fork to aerate and break up any cocoa clumps.
- Add the egg, milk, oil, and vanilla extract directly into the mug. Whisk until the batter is smooth, glossy, and shows no visible streaks of flour.
- Drop the chocolate chips into the exact center of the batter without stirring. Drizzle one teaspoon of water directly over the top to create a steam chamber during cooking.
