Ingredients:
- 1 large green cabbage (about 2-3 pounds / 900-1360 grams)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5 g)
- ½ teaspoon salt (2 g)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (2 g)
- Optional: fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage and rinse it thoroughly. Slice the cabbage into 1-inch thick 'steaks.'
- Arrange the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of each steak. Sprinkle garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly on both sides.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and edges are slightly caramelized.
- Optionally, sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving. Enjoy warm, either as a main dish or a side!
