Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) cooked and cooled green tea
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh fruit juice (e.g., raspberry, mango, or peach)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) sparkling water
- 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 ml) honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup (75 g) fresh fruit slices (e.g., lemons, limes, or berries) for garnish
- a handful of mint leaves for garnish and added flavor
- ice cubes as needed
Instructions:
- Brew the Green Tea: Start by brewing green tea according to package instructions. Use two tea bags for stronger flavor or one for milder. Let it steep for about 3-5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and allow it to cool to room temperature.
- Mix the Base: In a pitcher or large glass, combine the cooled green tea with the fresh fruit juice. Stir well to blend the flavors.
- Sweeten the Mixture: Add honey or agave syrup to taste and stir until completely dissolved. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness as desired.
- Prepare the Glass: Fill a large glass with ice cubes to reach the 2/3 full mark.
- Combine with Sparkling Water: Pour the green tea and juice mixture over the ice, filling the glass about 2/3 full. Slowly top it off with sparkling water to add fizz. Stir gently to combine, being careful not to lose the bubbles.
- Garnish and Serve: Add fresh fruit slices and mint leaves to the glass for garnish. Serve immediately with a straw or a stirring spoon.
