Ingredients:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 8 oz / 227 g each, 1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5 g)
  • Salt to taste (about ½ teaspoon / 3 g)
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste (about ½ teaspoon / 3 g)

Instructions:

  1. Remove steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature (about 30 minutes). Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the steaks.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until desired doneness is reached (medium-rare at 130-135°F / 54-57°C).
  5. Remove steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  6. Slice against the grain and serve with your favourite sides. This is how to air fry steak effectively!
