Ingredients:
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 8 oz / 227 g each, 1-inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5 g)
- Salt to taste (about ½ teaspoon / 3 g)
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste (about ½ teaspoon / 3 g)
Instructions:
- Remove steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature (about 30 minutes). Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the steaks.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until desired doneness is reached (medium-rare at 130-135°F / 54-57°C).
- Remove steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
- Slice against the grain and serve with your favourite sides. This is how to air fry steak effectively!
