Ingredients:
- 1-2 pounds (450-900g) Salmon Fillets, skin on or off, about 1-1.5 inch thick
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Olive Oil
- 1 Lemon (for slicing and juicing)
- 2 tablespoons (chopped) Fresh Dill, optional
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) Black Pepper
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. This helps with browning.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice (about 1-2 tablespoons), garlic powder, salt, pepper, and dill (if using).
- Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or lightly greased). Drizzle the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it's evenly coated.
- Arrange thin lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets (optional).
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Check for doneness using an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the fillet.
- Let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh dill or lemon wedges, if desired.
