Ingredients:

  • 2 (6-ounce / 170g) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon / 15ml olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon / 15ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon / 5ml dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh, chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon / 2.5ml salt
  • ¼ teaspoon / 1.25ml black pepper
  • Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F / 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (if using).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper.
  4. Drizzle the mixture evenly over the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Visual cue: The salmon should be opaque and the internal temperature should reach 145°F / 63°C.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices (if using). Serve immediately.
