Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) fresh asparagus, thick or medium spears
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) extra virgin olive oil
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) kosher salt (or sea salt)
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice (optional)
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash and trim the woody ends of the asparagus.
- Place the asparagus in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss well to coat evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes (if your air fryer has a preheat function). Arrange the asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on the tray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the asparagus is tender-crisp and lightly browned.
- Remove the asparagus from the air fryer. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice (if using). Serve immediately and enjoy.
