Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) brown rice, rinsed
  • 1 cup (240ml) water or broth (vegetable or chicken)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Measure 1 cup of brown rice and rinse it under cold running water until the water runs clear.
  2. In the Instant Pot, combine the rinsed brown rice, water (or broth), olive oil (if using), and salt.
  3. Secure the lid on the Instant Pot, ensuring the vent is in the sealing position. Set to Pressure Cook on high for 22 minutes.
  4. Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes before quick-releasing any remaining pressure.
  5. Open the lid, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve warm.
