Ingredients:
- 1 cup (85g) fresh spinach, tightly packed
- 1/2 cup (75g) frozen berries (mixed or your favorite)
- 1/2 medium banana (approx. 60g), fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/4 cup (60ml) plain Greek yogurt (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 cup (60ml) water or ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash the spinach and any fresh fruit. Peel the banana if using fresh.
- Add all ingredients to the blender.
- Start blending on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds. If too thick, add more liquid. If too thin, add more frozen fruit or ice.
- Taste the spinach and fruit smoothie and adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup if needed.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately!
