Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp (2 g) garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2 g) onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1 g) red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) grated Parmesan cheese (optional for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse and dry the broccoli florets thoroughly. Cut larger florets into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine broccoli florets, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned broccoli in a single layer on a baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding to allow for even roasting.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Stir or flip halfway through cooking for even crispness. Remove once edges are crispy and florets are tender.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately.
