Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tbsp (45ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp (2.5g) sea salt
  • ¼ tsp (1g) black pepper
  • ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp (30g) breadcrumbs (optional for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp (5g) lemon zest (for a fresh finish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and halve them. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden brown, stirring halfway through.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and lemon zest. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
