Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 3 tbsp (45ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp (2.5g) sea salt
- ¼ tsp (1g) black pepper
- ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp (30g) breadcrumbs (optional for extra crunch)
- 1 tsp (5g) lemon zest (for a fresh finish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and halve them. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- Add olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
- Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden brown, stirring halfway through.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and lemon zest. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
