Ingredients:

  • ½ head of green cabbage, thinly sliced (about 3-4 cups/250-300 grams)
  • 1 lb (450 grams) smoked sausage, sliced (e.g., kielbasa or chorizo)
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Thinly slice the cabbage, onion, and sausage. Mince the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the onion and sauté for 3 minutes; then add garlic and continue for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the sliced cabbage, cooking for about 5-8 minutes until it’s tender but still crisp.
  6. Return the sausage to the skillet, and stir in the soy sauce and paprika. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, mixing well to combine all ingredients.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
