Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and halved
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup French onion soup (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ cups crispy fried onions
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp, then drain and shock in cold water.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the blanched green beans and half the cheddar cheese.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes until heated through.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining cheese and crispy fried onions on top. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley, serve warm, and enjoy!
