Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and halved
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup French onion soup (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 ½ cups crispy fried onions
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp, then drain and shock in cold water.
- In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the blanched green beans and half the cheddar cheese.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes until heated through.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining cheese and crispy fried onions on top. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley, serve warm, and enjoy!
