Ingredients:
- 1 large green cabbage (about 2-3 pounds / 900-1350 grams)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (56 grams)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (15 ml)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 2 teaspoons dried parsley)
Instructions:
- Preheat the grill or oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the cabbage into 1-inch thick steaks.
- Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill or bake the cabbage steaks for about 10 minutes on each side, until tender and slightly charred.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in lemon juice and parsley; mix well.
- Remove the cabbage steaks from heat and brush them with the garlic butter sauce.
- Serve warm, drizzling leftover garlic butter over the steaks.
